The Impact of Your Support
When you give, you do more than fund programs — you change lives. Your generosity enables families to focus on the moments that matter, rather than worrying about bills. It means more helping hands at home, more opportunities for comfort, and more care that honors each person’s background and culture.
Every gift — large or small — brings compassion to our community. Together, we make sure at-risk New Yorkers receive the care and dignity they deserve.
Thanks to donor support, we have:
- Supported more than $275,000 in financial assistance to help patients and their families receive compassionate end-of-life care through the Charitable Care Fund.
- Provided over 3,129 hours of home health aide support to help family caregivers care for their loved ones at the end of life
- Delivered $3,600 in support for everyday needs through the Patient Care Fund
Meeting Everyday Needs
Access to everyday essentials plays an important role in a patient’s comfort, safety, and dignity—especially during times of illness or recovery, when financial and emotional pressures can add to an already difficult experience.
- Help cover essential needs that may not be included in a patient’s plan of care.
- Provide support for items and services that enhance comfort, mobility, and daily living.
- Reduce barriers to care by ensuring patients can access what they need, regardless of circumstance.
Patient Support Funds help ensure care is guided by compassion and dignity—supporting individuals and families when additional help can make a meaningful difference.
Enriching Programs
Moments of joy, connection, and self-expression are an important part of emotional well-being—especially for individuals navigating illness, recovery, or the challenges of aging. These experiences help bring comfort, purpose, and human connection to everyday care.
- Provide opportunities for movement and engagement through gentle activities that support physical and emotional well-being.
- Support creative and expressive experiences such as music and arts programs that foster connection and spark meaningful memories.
- Enhance daily life for those in our care by bringing moments of comfort and connection into care settings and homes.
These enriching programs help make each day more meaningful for patients, residents, and their loved ones—complementing medical care with experiences that nurture the whole person.
End of Life Care
Facing the end of life is one of the most vulnerable times for patients and their families. During these moments, access to compassionate, comprehensive support is essential to ensure comfort, dignity, and peace. While insurance may cover basic medical services, it often does not address the full emotional, cultural, and practical needs that arise at the end of life.
- Provide comfort-focused support that goes beyond medical care, helping patients remain comfortable and supported.
- Address unmet emotional and practical needs through services such as additional home health aide hours, bereavement support, and family-centered care.
- Ensure culturally sensitive and compassionate care that honors each patient’s values, traditions, and wishes.
These funds were established to support patients and families at different stages of the end-of-life care journey. You may choose to direct your gift to a specific area of care or allow it to be used where the need is greatest.
